5 nm Silicon Nitride!
We are now offering 5 nm thick silicon nitride TEM window grids in two formats: our classic 9 windows and a new single 25 x 25 micron window.
Matthew Mecklenberg at the Electron Imaging Center for Nanomachines at UCLA's California NanoSystems Institute has already taken some nice images on the new 5 nm nitride films.
The ADF STEM image of Pt particles below shows a 136 pm spacing, the point resolution of his FEI Titan 80-300 in STEM mode.
The following TEM image shows a Pt particle on the membrane; the FFT of the particle on the nitride film is shown in the upper left corner.

Microporous Silicon Nitride
We have also just launched a new Microporous Silicon Nitride TEMwindow. The window size is 500 x 500 microns with 2 micron holes on 1:1 pitch.
We have patterned a gridding system so it's eaiser to keep track of which region you are imaging between tools. You will find these grids are also quite robust,
only slightly weaker than our standard 50 nm thick silicon nitride. These window grids are priced at $290 for a package of ten
