Membrane Technology
While conventional membranes may be tens of micrometers in thickness, SiMPore membranes are 0.1 micrometers thick. This results in pores that have an aspect ratio of approximately one to one or greater. In addition to their thickness, conventional polymeric membranes typically have tortuous path pore channels that can reduce efficiency and trap molecules. SiMPore's membranes have straight through-pores that minimize resistance and dramatically reduce loss.
